In 2012 Kingston Mansion won the award in Design at Al’s International Design & Architecture Awards. This project was an amazing achievement for everyone involved.
Staffan is back from an intense 3 days in Paris for Maison & Objet, which included the launch of the Belle on the Contardi stand, spending 2 full days walking through the fair and also managing to visit many of the wonderful showrooms and antique dealers in St Germain.
We also have a few exciting news to share- Staffan has started working on the design of a rug collection so watch this space!
It is also the last couple of weeks of our sale, there are still quite a few items left for up to 50% discount. So hurry down to our Design Store in Grosvenor Waterside and browse through our selection of designer furniture & accessories.
Staffan invited ACHICALiving to take a tour around his London home to discover his Swedish influenced style and love of design.
Staffan and his wife Monique have transformed the house into a gallery like space where bold, bright colours and textures add warmth to the rooms while maintaining the integrity of the original 1850s house.
Dramatic decorative accessories and modern artwork create impact and complexity to the extravagantly sized space, whilst the open-plan layout make the rooms flow perfectly together.
Staffan ensured that each key piece in the house spoke to the other pieces in some way tying the furniture and rooms together. The secret for making the dining and living areas work so well together is Staffan’s use of metal features, marble and metallic fabrics running through the room adding different layers to the composition.

Staffan is delighted that his Belle lamp for Contardi will officially launch at Maison & Objet 2014 in Paris on Friday 24th of January. Contardi will display both sizes in the colour combinations that form the standard collection as well as one large size of a new special edition in copper.
The Belle lamp was designed to play with the notion of functional sculpture. Lighting couturier Contardi’s immaculate execution of the Belle succeeds in concealing its function until closer inspection.
Maison & Objet is on between the 24th-28th of January.
We look forward to seeing you there. Don’t miss Contardi in hall 7 stand G130!
We are featured in the February 2014 edition of Homes & Gardens showcasing one of our most recent Interior Design projects in London. By using a mix of eccentric furniture, elegant accessories and a sumptuous colour palette, we created a decadent/dramatic yet contemporary look for a grand London home.

This month we are featured in Absolutely Chelsea and Absolutely Fulham Magazine in their “Get the look” section.
Staffan Tollgard Design Group gives tips on how to replicate one of our luxurious Chelsea sitting rooms. Decorative cushions, a statement chandelier and beautiful wooden tables surrounds the centerpiece sofa whilst adding a sumptuous feel to the space.
What an amazing start to the new year! Our design store will be featured in the January 2014 issue of Kitchens, Bedrooms & Bathrooms magazine as your first stop for contemporary design.
The design store is a place where customers can appreciate the carefully selected line-up of brands, the expertise of our interior designers and most importantly the extraordinary furniture available throughout the 3500 sq ft space.
Make sure you pick up a copy of the magazine and look for Staffan Tollgard Design Store featured in the “design notes” section.
Maida Vale Residence
By completely redesigning and linking two properties, we created an elegant apartment where the owners could retreat into calm and sensuous spaces that are layered in different textures and materials.
A dramatic modernisation of a handsome family home in Totteridge, together with architectural practice David Gibson, has resulted in open-plan and intersecting living spaces that hinge on the striking sculptural staircase.
Repeated architectural and decorative refrains of glass, natural and stained wood, large format ceramics, together with contemporary lighting features create a bold and inviting home.
Last week’s event was a success and we hope everyone who came also had a great time. We were very excited to meet lots of our Grosvenor Waterside neighbours, family and friends at the design store for some late night shopping.
We had delicious meringues from Meringue Girls, Lavolio sweets and lots of Prosecco- a great recipe for a party!
Christmas is slowly approaching and there are just so many things that we wish for this year…
On the top of our Christmas wishlists are some of our favorite accessories that would make lovely gifts.
The handmade Baobab candles come in various sizes and burn for hundreds of hours while the Bemboka cashmere blankets and angora/wool throws are incredibly soft and cosy.
We also long for the Chilewich golden “lace” placemats,When Objects Work Oak tray and gorgeous Kate Hume Caillou vases to decorate our tables for the festive season.
Make a wishlist on our website, come into our store or send a quick email to our showroom manager firstname.lastname@example.org for any price request or for further information on our products.
We hope we can help accommodate all of your design wishes this December and we wish everyone a happy Christmas!
We are excited that Staffan Tollgard was featured in the My Space section of The Telegraph this week.
In the article Staffan showcased pieces and inspiration behind his modern open-plan Bayswater apartment where he lives with his young family. His home is filled with artwork, beautiful design and functional sculptures in a delicately balanced child friendly and “grown up” space.
Kate Humes beautiful vases, Randy Cooper artwork and Bocci 28 series lights are features in Staffan’s own home as well as in his Grosvenor Waterside design store.

We’re so pleased that Staffan Tollgård Design Store is described in the December issue of Elle Decoration as an “essential one-stop design emporium”. Elle Decoration particularly loves the LEMA “Wow” dining table and “Tabby” chair, two new pieces from Lema that we can’t wait to bring to the Store. They are beautifully made pieces of furniture showcasing the hallmarks of Italian craftsmanship and the slow living ethos that make LEMA so special.
Please join us at the Design Store on the 28th November from 7 to 10pm. We’re starting to think about Christmas and there’s no better way to get into the party season than with Prosecco and some of the Meringue girl’s sweet treats. We’ve been open nearly two months now, so this Party is for our Grosvenor Waterside locals to come in and get to know us a little better. We have stocked up on accessories in time for Christmas so it’s a good time to browse the selection of great design we have on offer. Please drop Erik, our Store Manager, an email at email@example.com if you would like to pop in.
We had such a wonderful time at Hästens last week, thank you so much for hosting us.
Hästens is Sweden’s oldest manufacturer of beds. Through the use of the finest natural materials Hästens offers deeper, better sleep which restores and rejuvenates. After 160 years it continues to maintain distinction in the industry through its focus on quality, craftsmanship and exquisite design.
Although we knew how good your beds were, now we really appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into each and every one piece. Your training has allowed us all to speak a bit more confidently about the product and we all wish that we would be able to sleep on a Hästens mattress every night…
It was great to review some of our favourite projects in “Finding the Red Thread”, Staffan’s contribution to The English Home’s Designer’s Notebook blog. Many thanks to The English Home for the opportunity to reflect on the guiding principles of our residential projects as well as the Staffan Tollgård Design Store, our very own luxury retail store.

Huge thanks to the Gaggenau showroom for an excellent training day for some of the Staffan Tollgard Design Group designers.
The insight into the quality and innovation that drive Gaggenaus’s product line was expertly delivered by Kathy Loddy their Gaggenau Trainer & Home Economist.
The experience of cooking with Gaggenau’s full range of appliances really drove the message home. The steam oven, solid chrome Teppanyaki griddle and baking stone produced excellent results – which of course we had to sample …
We look forward to inviting our clients to experience all that the Gaggenau showroom has to offer.
We are thrilled that House and Garden has posted a great article about the latest arrivals at the Staffan Tollgard Design Store. The article mentions the exclusive curated collections of items from acclaimed brand Stellar Works and the EOQ “industrial art masterpieces” from Michael Young that make our store a “treasure trove” for design.

We have noticed that our customers share our love for Ceccotti Collezioni and especially the Chambre Close chair that we have in our design store.
The Chambre Close chair is a clothe stand chair made in solid American walnut, cherry wood or oak with an upholstered seat. This bespoke chair is designed by Roberto Lazzeroni and is a great accessory adding both a contemporary and organic feel to your bedroom.
Ceccotti Collezioni’s approach to fine furniture making is deeply philosophical and poetic. The brand creates breathtakingly beautiful furniture with wood sourced from strictly controlled plantations and the brand is a customer favourite at our design store and used in many of our projects.
We’re excited about some great new pieces at the Store that have just arrived. From Hong Kong we’re celebrating the landing of some more pieces from iconic British designer Michael Young and his brand, EOQ. We’re already familiar with his work via the sleek, industrial detailing of the ‘Bramah’ lights, but are delighted to now also be showcasing his new ‘Joseph’ pendants, sconces and table lights.
Based on the same concept of unearthing beauty through the innovative use of materials and technologies, these are a seriously-beautiful, solid and well-considered range of lights. Already proving popular with the architectural community, these have a scale and warmth that also allow them to sit perfectly within a residential setting. As the collection has grown in size, so the pieces themselves have also grown in ambition and stature.
The Orsted Desk has used the same extrusion technology seen with the Bramah lights to create a sleek pale gold, leather and walnut affair with pre-cut holes for cabling and the option of sliding walnut boxes to hold desktop paraphenalia; whilst the Bayer Shelves combine forged links in gold, silver or powder coated aluminium, with shelving of smoked oak, walnut or even driftwood, set in dramatic opposition to them. An endlessly-configurable unit that we see working in a luxurious residential setting, or equally well as a room divider in a high-end restaurant, these pieces illustrate EOQ’s growth of into a brand of real distinction.
